The latest edition of our Odysseys photo book series, features the vibrant people and places of Nicaragua. As the largest country in Central America, it's odd that it's often overlooked in favor of neighboring Costa Rica. Underdevelopment, economic hardships, and general political unrest in the area have created the outdated stigma that Nicaragua is "unsafe" for tourists. We set out to see what Nicaragua was all about. It ended up being the perfect place to immerse ourselves in this rich and diverse culture.
